Handlettered Confirmation Card

Next month, my nephew will be going through the Sacrament of Confirmation.  I wanted to make him a card that reflects the importance of this Sacrament in his life.

I love the quote from St. Catherine of Siena and I found it very fitting for this card and for the occasion.

Handlettered Birthday Card

I recently put up a blog post about the Etsy listing of this card.  To view that, click here.

I love to post videos of the how I created my Etsy listings so that viewers, and shopppers, can see that all the products I create are truly made by me.  I also love to inspire people to create their own masterpieces pulling from techniques that I show in my videos.

Cardmaking – Let It Snow (featuring Lawn Fawn stamps)

Here is another Christmas/Winter themed card that I created back in December.

This card uses the heat embossing/watercolor resist technique and I love the background it created!

Enjoy!

Cardmaking – Magical Holiday (featuring Lawn Fawn Stamps)

I enjoy incorporating watercolor painting with stamped images.  This technique allows imperfect watercolor painting to create a really fun background.

Enjoy!

Cardmaking – Let It Snow (featuring Lawn Fawn Stamps)

During Christmas time, I like to make my own cards to hold gift cards for friends and family.

I tend to make a lot of cards.  To make things run faster, I like to use stamps.  In this video, I use Christmas themed Lawn Fawn stamp sets to create a card!

Enjoy!

Cardmaking – You Are My Sunshine

In this card video, I created an ombre-styled watercolor background.  Then I used my Tombow Fudenosuke Calligraphy Pen to write out the sentiment.  I love creating cards like this.  They are so quick and easy to make.

Enjoy!

Embossing fail…

I recorded a video of me brushlettering with embossing ink and using gold heat embossing powder for an awesome card front.

It was just a fail from beginning to end.

The “L” is completely bumpy and the embossing powder was overheated and bubbled up upon heating.

It was just a huge mess…

Can you see how bad the embossing is?

For awhile, I contemplated editing the video and posting it anyway.  It would have been a “what not to do” type video.  I wanted to show all of my mistakes so viewers would know what to do better than me.

I decided to hold off on it for awhile.  I ended up deleting the footage and I’m now working on filming this again.

I do love the gold against the watercolor background, and I really hope I can make this again, with much better quality.
